“Angels Of Death” – a humorous take on mortality, that sneaks up on you – is a poem by the wonderful Terri Kirby Erickson, from her forthcoming collection A Lake of Light and Clouds, from Press 53. Today I put the finishing touches on my setting of this poem, as part of a cycle for soprano, on varied poems of life, death, and nature.

Composers and readers: check out Terri’s work! It’s musical, and opens from the everyday onto the profound. I love it.
